Weather Watch: No Jan. 31 Activities

We are closely monitoring the next round of winter weather expected this weekend for our area. Based on the forecast and after consulting with local emergency teams, all extra-curricular activities for Saturday, Jan. 31, have been canceled.

Any decision concerning our Monday school schedule will be shared with families no later than Sunday evening through email/text messages, our websites, social media, and local media stations. If you are not receiving our direct messages, please check your contact information in the Parent Portal.

Learner Profile

The Barrow County School System Learner Profile (pictured below) is a set of five core competencies that Barrow County Schools wants to impart to its students as they move from pre-k to graduation. We want our students to actively work towards developing these competencies so they will be successful both in school and beyond.

 

The Learner Profile was set into motion based on a goal within the District Wide Five-Year Strategic Plan. In addition, the Learner Profile is embedded within the BCSS Instructional Framework.
