Weather Watch: No Jan. 31 Activities

We are closely monitoring the next round of winter weather expected this weekend for our area. Based on the forecast and after consulting with local emergency teams, all extra-curricular activities for Saturday, Jan. 31, have been canceled.

Any decision concerning our Monday school schedule will be shared with families no later than Sunday evening through email/text messages, our websites, social media, and local media stations. If you are not receiving our direct messages, please check your contact information in the Parent Portal.

Here Comes the Bus

"Here Comes the Bus" is a free website and app you can use to see the location of your child’s school bus. You will be able to see when the bus will arrive!

How do I sign up?

  1. Download the Here Comes The Bus app on Google Play or the Apple App Store or visit Here Comes The Bus Website.
  2. Click the "Sign Up" link and then add your information and the BCSS code: 87782
  3. Once you get the confirmation email to activate your account, you will add your student.
  4. Enter your child's last name and student ID number (lunch number).

  • Here Comes the Bus uses global positioning system (GPS) technology to locate your child’s school bus. It's powered by software from Synovia Solutions, who are experts at tracking data, which they’ve been providing to fleet managers across North America for over 15 years. Like other map apps, buses will appear as icons on a map, allowing you to see where it is. It will also send notifications.

  • Your student's ID number is also the lunch number. If your student doesn't know it, you can find it in the Parent Portal. Your school's registrar will also be able to help.

  • No. You only need one Here Comes the Bus account.

  • Here Comes The Bus is available at no cost to all families in any school district that has purchased the service.

  • Here Comes the Bus uses HTTPS, just like a bank or online store, which means that all communications between your web browser and the site is encrypted and secure.

  • Student Ridership is student-tracking software that lets parents see when their child has scanned on and off the bus. At this time, we are not offering this option.

  • Our program will roll out within the first month of school. Any information you see during the first weeks will not be synced with updated routes. Sign up for your account now to get notifications as soon as it launches!

    Once updated routes are synced after the first month of school, if the account sign-up occurs over the weekend, it will not show bus stop information. Please complete your account sign-up and check your child’s stop information first thing Monday morning. ​If issues persist, please contact your cluster's transportation area supervisor.
